We opened in 2014 to bring some theatre, flair, character and bloody-good local food to one of York's less-trodden streets — and it's the people who make that happen night after night. If you take your food and drink seriously but not yourself, you'll fit right in.

Who we're after

We're a small, independent, adults-only steak restaurant and cocktail bar — so no chain-restaurant scripts, no corporate box-ticking, just proper hospitality with a bit of swagger. We'd love to hear from you if you're:

• Front of house — hosts, waiting staff and floor supervisors who genuinely enjoy looking after people and can hold a room.
• Bar — bartenders who can mix a serious cocktail and keep the banter flowing.
• Kitchen — chefs of every level who care about local, seasonal produce and our dry-aged, grass-fed beef ("eat less meat, eat better beef").

No open vacancy that fits? Get in touch anyway. Good people are hard to find, and if there's space then, as we like to say, we'll 'av ya.
